Activity 2

Persuasive Techniques

This week you begin your planning and creating of your digital story. To do this, you will first need to look at the different persuasive techniques used to make an effective digital story that persuades your target audience. These elements are through not only the script that you develop, but also your ability to persuade through an audio and visual capacity.

Lights, Camera, Action: Camera

To the right is an interactive resource that allows you to explore how cameras are used to tell a story in films. Learn words used to describe camera shots, movements and angles. See how combinations of camera shots can hide or reveal things, set a mood and influence audience feelings. Look at ways to create feelings such as excitement, humour or fear. Notice how different views change the meaning of a scene. This will help you for your digital story assessment.

Make sure you pay attention to the information they give you in the interactive activity as it is essential for your own digital story.
